Its Only Tuesday?!?

Well, its been a week since my parents have been here, and they have a week left. So far I have made 5 meals, breakfast, lunches and dinners, and have gone to one museum. Although I wanted to go to more, like the LUNCH box museum that has lunch boxes from over the decades. Its football season, so currently I am sitting with my husband sleeping on one side of the couch, and my dad snoring on the other couch. Apparently, this game isn't interesting, its Minnesota & Philadelphia. I am not a huge football fan, but I love sports and I can deal with all sports as long as I have a beer

As for the husband being on block leave, (thankfully I love it, but its bitter sweet.... Reason: His response to EVERYTHING (i.e, take out the trash, and put your clothes in the hamper), is "I'm on vacation". If he says it once more, I feel like I will slap him upside the head, I don't care if your on vacation. I am in bad health and shouldn't be taking care of all of the household chores alone, with my back. Result of this issue: If he doesn't grow up and be an adult, on leave or working 11 hour days, his clothes are getting donated.... But don't get me wrong, I LOVE HIM. BUT HIS ASS IS ABOUT TO BE KICKED ARMY STYLE.

So to catch everyone up on the health issues, and previous appointments as well as my trip update.
1. ENT (EYES, EARS, NOSE, THROAT) DR.--- I have to get surgery on my nose because of my sinuses, haven't scheduled it yet, but not looking forward to another nose surgery. I had plastic surgery in 8th grade, because sadly I was severely depressed and unhappy with my nose and being made fun of for over 8 years.

2. Pain Management Apt--- Well, this appointment was almost as bad as the appointment from ENT. This appointment gave me the news that I have the disc bulging, but also I have Degenerative Disc Disease. But instead of wearing the fun soft neck brace, they are fitting me for some metal type brace that pulls my neck up 3x a day. Also I have to get an Epidural in my neck, and physical therapy that has all the fun pain management stuff: Ice, heat, electrical stimulation and traction. Personally, an epidural in the neck scares the HELL out of me, but of course I'm also squeezing it into my schedule before I leave for NY.

3. Medications: Well I did my OCD excel list of medications, currently I am on 15 medications, and 2 topical medications for my Degenerative Disc Disease and Osteoarthritis. Remember I am turning 25, and I am in worst health then my parent's, husband and most people I know.

4. New York: I'm taking the biggest step in my life ( other than getting married), I am going to meet my Biological Mom, and my 1/2 brothers and sister. I am so excited, I am going for almost 2 weeks. My husband is freaking because he has to take care of the house with out me.. Personally, I am stoked, nervous, and freaking out. I have NO anger towards my biological mom, she made the best decision for me, and I have grown up with amazing parents who gave me the world, and awesome support.

And finally just for laughs, my father has 3 new grandchildren

  1. Wow! That is a lot of medications to be on. I hate taking pills in general. I can relate in a way to the back problems. I have scoliosis and have had 2 back surgeries in my life...thankfully I've been pain free for years now. An epideral in the neck is scary!! I had one when I was ready to have my son and that was just not fun at all...but the contractions did hurt worse I guess. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by the Hump Day Hop! I'm a new follower.

  2. Good luck with your surgery. Whenever people share medical problems there is always someone there to tell them what they should do that would "fix" it. Well, now it's your turn to get that from me :). You should go raw vegan, I swear it heals EVERYTHING. I'm following you from the Hump Day hop and I hope you can follow me back at Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters

  3. I can't imagine taking all those mess or being in that much pain. Even when I was in labor with my daughter(gave birth naturally, at home, with no meds) my pain was tolerable with a few breathing exercizes and a firm massage. I am wishing u all the luck with the upcoming months of crappy thongs that u will deal with...
