Lunch Box Museum?!

Yesterday my husband, parents and I went to this lunch box Museum. It had over 1000 OLD school metal lunch boxes. Here are a few photos, let me know what you think. It was so cool to see a Metal Care Bears lunch Box.

Its Only Tuesday?!?

Well, its been a week since my parents have been here, and they have a week left. So far I have made 5 meals, breakfast, lunches and dinners, and have gone to one museum. Although I wanted to go to more, like the LUNCH box museum that has lunch boxes from over the decades. Its football season, so currently I am sitting with my husband sleeping on one side of the couch, and my dad snoring on the other couch. Apparently, this game isn't interesting, its Minnesota & Philadelphia. I am not a huge football fan, but I love sports and I can deal with all sports as long as I have a beer

As for the husband being on block leave, (thankfully I love it, but its bitter sweet.... Reason: His response to EVERYTHING (i.e, take out the trash, and put your clothes in the hamper), is "I'm on vacation". If he says it once more, I feel like I will slap him upside the head, I don't care if your on vacation. I am in bad health and shouldn't be taking care of all of the household chores alone, with my back. Result of this issue: If he doesn't grow up and be an adult, on leave or working 11 hour days, his clothes are getting donated.... But don't get me wrong, I LOVE HIM. BUT HIS ASS IS ABOUT TO BE KICKED ARMY STYLE.

So to catch everyone up on the health issues, and previous appointments as well as my trip update.
1. ENT (EYES, EARS, NOSE, THROAT) DR.--- I have to get surgery on my nose because of my sinuses, haven't scheduled it yet, but not looking forward to another nose surgery. I had plastic surgery in 8th grade, because sadly I was severely depressed and unhappy with my nose and being made fun of for over 8 years.

2. Pain Management Apt--- Well, this appointment was almost as bad as the appointment from ENT. This appointment gave me the news that I have the disc bulging, but also I have Degenerative Disc Disease. But instead of wearing the fun soft neck brace, they are fitting me for some metal type brace that pulls my neck up 3x a day. Also I have to get an Epidural in my neck, and physical therapy that has all the fun pain management stuff: Ice, heat, electrical stimulation and traction. Personally, an epidural in the neck scares the HELL out of me, but of course I'm also squeezing it into my schedule before I leave for NY.

3. Medications: Well I did my OCD excel list of medications, currently I am on 15 medications, and 2 topical medications for my Degenerative Disc Disease and Osteoarthritis. Remember I am turning 25, and I am in worst health then my parent's, husband and most people I know.

4. New York: I'm taking the biggest step in my life ( other than getting married), I am going to meet my Biological Mom, and my 1/2 brothers and sister. I am so excited, I am going for almost 2 weeks. My husband is freaking because he has to take care of the house with out me.. Personally, I am stoked, nervous, and freaking out. I have NO anger towards my biological mom, she made the best decision for me, and I have grown up with amazing parents who gave me the world, and awesome support.

And finally just for laughs, my father has 3 new grandchildren

I got my White Christmas

It's official, after all day long of Weather Watch around Alabama, we finally got snow. So to end our day we are spending it with a fire, hot coco and snow. 24 Years of life and I have never experienced a White Christmas.. No gift could ever replace this White Christmas with my parents and husband.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!

A night out and a X-mas eve morning

First off, I have to say thank you to Elizabeth at "The Young Retiree", for her amazing comment about blogging for her comment, to summarize her beautiful comment I quote "writing for me- to fill my time, to get help with things I'm having issues with, to find support and understanding that my civilian friends just can't give me, and to let go of my feelings" So thank you Elizabeth, you changed my thoughts on blogging.

Secondly, today I woke up for (thank you Ambien CR) it finally works and I'm getting sleep! Last night we went to the comedy club and my dad and husband got WASTED causing fights between the woman vs. the men, what a night! My husband fell asleep in his clothing, so i decided to sleep on the couch with out the drunk person. It was lovely!
This morning we got our stocking box from the In-Laws, thankfully they gave us $50, which will go to bills. We are so prepared for Christmas, So our tree has presents under it, our stockings are filled, the table is set, and the meals will be starting for tonight soon....

So I started my morning by cooking Peanut Butter- Stuffed French Toast for everyone, it was more of a brunch thanks to the drunks in our family (the men) for getting up late.

And my health gets worse

Today I had two doctor appointments:
  • FYI if your new to my blog, I am ALWAYS at the Doctor, and always having problems
  1. Appointment #1: ENT (EYES EARS NOSE THROAT) Dr.
    • Result: I have to get surgery again on my nose, but this time for sinus problems... Not sure what the surgery is called but its a surgery
  2. Appointment #2: Pain Management Dr.
    • Result: Diagnosed with:  Degenerative Disc Disease, which is other terms that is what I heard, was that I have to get an epidural (January 4th), and start injections in my neck. I also got put on 6 more medications, 2 topical creams for my neck and knees and got sent to a new physical therapist....
Side note: :::::I HAVE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST WHO PUT ME IN A NECK BRACE:::::
  • 3 Doctors have told me NOT to wear it, so it got vetoed out, and well good but so damn confusing, emotionally drowning and just not fun.
So today has been doctor's appointments, trying to find these medications that so far 5 pharmacies don't carry, and being lazy at home since I'm in so much damn pain..

Technically, I just want to sleep and not feel the pain. I pray that my pain will go away and that I will gain the strength to get through these health problems.

Parent's Visit

Well we got 2 days of entertaining parent's out of the way, and boy has it been a long two days. My insomnia has been on full swing, I am now on the most potent sleeping pills that does nothing; proof of that was staring at the ceiling for 4 hours, it was awful. As exciting as as my lack of sleep is, No emotional breakdowns today or yesterday.

Yesterday we went to the Coca Cola Museum (see below)

The we spent the night at the Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic Game ( ATLANTA WON!)

Then today we went to the Civil War Museum, which my father absolutely loved!
We went food shopping spent a way to much amount of $420, but that's because this lovely young lady (ME) will be cooking every night for the next 2 weeks except for when we go to Callaway Garden's for the Festival of Lights, where we will be spending the night and going to Pine Mountain, then Roosevelt's Little White House. I LOVE museums, and especially when they are interactive. Also we are going to be going to the Callaway Garden's (Garden's), which I heard are beautiful! I'm excited, and can't wait. This blog was random thoughts and just to discuss whats going on. So if I am behind on the blogging situation, I apologize! Hope everyone has wonderful holidays <3
