Surprise & more surprises!

Wow, talk about a ton of amazing things happening these past 2 weeks. So here's the update:

February 13: I was checking hubby's Facebook, eliminating the drama as usual so he wouldn't have to deal with it. (all the family drama of course).. Yes I tell him what's said and he know's I delete the BS, but it gets deleted so he doesn't get overwhelmed. I found out he was coming home for R&R and surprising me for Valentines Day.
The story I was told, was I needed to babysit my friend's daughter while she went to an FRG event. (She was really going to pick up my husband)...
BUT since I found out, we turned the tables and I picked him up from the airport.
Here's a few photos from the airport.
He arrived at 9:00pm

Saying hi! Oh & Surprise!
Welcome home love!
Feb 14 (Valentines Day): 8am- My water broke, I was in complete denial! I called the hospital and 4 hours later went in. It took 4 hours because my husband had to shovel snow, I showered, he had to install the car seat and of course we had to get gas because I told him the night before I insisted it wasn't necessary. (Proved me wrong).
12pm- Went to labor & delivery.. Got checked and I was already at 7cm.

6:18pm-  An epidural, 6 hours of labor and 30 minutes of pushing... Our son, Landon Blake O'Brien was born.
He was born 3 weeks early, his due date was Feb 29

7lb 7oz 20 inches born at 6:18pm on Valentines Day

So we are ending our two weeks together in a few days, and we took our family photos the other day. Here are two of my favorites.

Taking control

It's been about a month since the refinance drama happened with my husband and in-laws. If you weren't following basically I found out that my husband refinanced the house behind my back, gave his mom a POA to handle it and I lost all access to our house back in Alabama.
Not only did my husband lie to my but his entire family did, then his sister made an excuse saying it was supposed to be a surprise for me so I didn't have to stress during my pregnancy".. this was AFTER my husband admitted to being afraid to bring it up to me.. So again... Another lie from the family.

So here's what I did.. After almost a month of staying awake at night wondering what else I was being lied to about, and wondering where my marriage was going I decided to just stand a stand.

I e-mailed his mother (and forwarded it to him and my mother.. basically because last time she said I was verbally abusing her, when clearly I wasn't). I told her that her family needs to back off and let us resolve our problems.

Sure, she won't react well since it's not going her way and I'm sure no one has stood up to her before. But at this point with our son arriving soon I won't allow this to continue happening.

Call it being a bitch, thats fine with me. I will do whatever is necessary to save our marriage and ensure my son DOES NOT get raised the way my husband was.
Lying is NOT okay, and the fact her entire family thinks its okay just shows me exactly how I don't want my family to be.

It's February!! HUGE MONTH!

It's here the biggest month of my life (other then getting married). This is the last month I will be just a daughter, sister, wife and friend. I get to add to my titles MOMMY!
That's right, the next 3 1/2 weeks will be the last time I have to look at my pregnant belly, and will soon be looking at my newborn son.
I am beyond excited for him to finally be here, it's been such a slow 8 months and it's finally here.

Although deployment is still in full force we are 2 months in. We are still unsure of how long the deployment will be. Rumors are still 9 or 10 months while others are saying 12. I just know that the months are passing by...

&& R&R is coming up... When you ask??? He'll be enjoying his new son within the first month of his life!
R&R will be next month some time, again when we don't know but I know he will be here to see his while he is still a newborn.

So this month we have to look forward to our expanding family and completing it for 2 weeks.

As of now, Alaska has gotten about 93 inches of snow since November. We still have until April of snowfall.

So baby boy will be coming in one of the worst months in Alaska, the coldest and snowiest apparently. Once he is here it will all be better though and we will get through the cabin fever together. And continue the countdown till the end of deployment!
